This car belonged to my best friend Doug Jackson who tragically lost his life back in 1984 at the age of 20 The car sat in his fathers garage in florida then in Louisville for 15 years after his death I was allowed the honor of purchasing this car and owning it for 6 years Although I did general maintenance on it I could not bring myself to alter any aspect of the car for sentamental reasons This car was one of less than 290 I say this because Chevrolet DID keep production figures on how many cars came equipped with the factory in-dash tachand that was 290 However they did not keep track of how cars were optioned This car came from the factory with the 283 powerpack which included a 4bbl carb and a ridiculous power rating of 220hp 4spd trans and a 355:1 rear gear I sold it back to Dougs Father who is the original owner and he completed a full restoration on the car returning it to the original Madera Maroon color

This past weekend I was taking pictures of the little water party my siblings threw and I managed to capture the shot of my sister attempting to throw herself onto the Slip nSlide I took this shot because it showed multiple concepts First of all the Slip n Slide gives the impression of one point perspective The fact that my sister is throwing herself onto the thing with the water splashing around her demonstrates motion and perhaps a bit of scale Even though my youngest brother is standing a bit farther away from my other brother the younger one of the two looks especially tiny in comparison I also like this picture because it was one of my sisters more goofy moments with the family Whenever shes around the younger ones she turns in to this great fun loving sister It is probably one of the many reasons my brothers look up to her so much

Since I couldn't pick one of our breeds over the others and there's no Saluki choice I went with the Poodles originally This year it expires so I'm going to have them send me the 30-breed montage design I mean it's got Borzoi Afghan Bedlington Crested Irish Terrier Italian Greyhound Soft-Coated Wheatie and a whole bunch of other cool breeds (Australian Terrier Scottie Bloodhound Dalmatian Finnish Spitz Brussels Griffon Pomeranian Miniature Bull Terrier Border Collie etc)it's as if they had consulted me when choosing breeds xx Six strong favorites and a great selection of other rad ones Or referred to that old Pluto cartoon illustration in the Disney Dogs book that includes a Bedlie Borzoi Berner Irish Terrier Scottie and a few breeds similar to ones on the card WHYYY is that 1956 cartoon NEVER available for viewing ANYwhere D-X Anyhow Also love the terrier group (although why they only offer that one group I can't imagine) and the Canine Good Citizen one with the 'Zoi up front They have a variety of other breed cards that are all very cute (particularly the GSP English Springer Dachshund Lhasa Bichon Papillon Weim Collie and Dobie) but the ones in the pic be the bomb diggitiest When researching the options for my credit card (and deciding to switch to Chase because Bank of America sucked arse with their random fees for no reasons--even though my first card was cute with all of the many doggy faces in a circle around the perimeter staring down) the other choices were the Disney Visa with Nemo and Squirt on it or a Delta Skymiles card But the AKC one was the way to go because the points it accumulates can be used for ANYTHING---usually I just take money back because it can be spent on anything Why be restricted to only Disney merch or only air miles

Goldsworthy does not just create any art of just through plain thought he uses nature to inspire him it seems that he really wants to talk through his art He dosnt want the art to say oh look this is cool he wants it to stand for something something important that screams its there that it isnt just a painting or a model He puts his heart and soul into everything he does He wants to speak to nature and nature to speak to him It seems that by making all the art work that he makes peice by peice he understands more of what he is doing more of nature and how to work with it Andy Goldsworthy has a really specific style he does more work with nautre and more creative things He also has a specific sort of sign that he always uses This sign is like a snake just a squigly line He uses it in alot of his work If someone was to line 10 works of art in a line you could recognise which one was Goldsworthys just by the sign He creates art from everything leaves icicles to rain Everything he makes has feeling and emotion It makes you want to stop turn around and look at it again to try to understand it but of course you cant because it is so complex and you just cant help but keep staring wondering what it means or what it stands for Its so captivating it draws you in He also uses everything in his ability He knows that if he makes an icicle sculpture that he should wake up really early to make it so by the time the sun comes out and hits the icicle where he wants it to hit then he will be ready to sketch or photograph it It also seems that he uses sketches and photographs to capture the essence of his art Its like what Andy Goldsworthy said Movement change light growth and decay are the lifeblood of nature the energies that I try to tap through my work I need the shock of touch the resistance of place materials and weather the earth as my source Nature is in a state of change and that change is the key to understanding I want my art to be sensitive and alert to changes in material season and weather Each work grows stays decays Process and decay are implicit Transience in my work reflects what I find in nature It is like this work of art he made he was by the river and there were little sort of cylinder things that were just in the rock or sand and while he was walking through the river he would find these little brownish red clay rocks that he would grind up and place in the cylinder holes in the rocks This created such an impact on your eyes when you looked at it The contrasting colors of the dark blues and browns to the blood red was amazing I wanted to use this picture for my example because i think this picture is interesting for many reasons One I like how the two colors contrast The bright green and the subtle blue really look cool together I also like how it seems as if it is more focused on the grass in the back and not so much in the front The last thing i like about this picture is the glare on the one strand of grass I think it sort of finishes this picture Goldsworthys art really speaks and I hope that is what i made this picture do

I sort of made this mistical creacher up and named it Eqwaileye This particular one is femail and has spacific traits as a charicter I created It has the body of a lion or other kind of large cat It has the head of a grey wolf or other kind of dog or wolf It has the tail of a red fox or other fox depending on your preferance And it has the wings of a silver owl or your preferance in owl specias or other bird This particular ones wings are not drawn acuratly I have trouble drawing some things so there more of angel wings hear But my charicter has wite wings with gold tips with black and silver all through out its fethers It is a creacher of stelth and silence stalking its prey A silent creacher of the night it hunts for all kind of game It is also smart like a dragon and usualy is found in packs It's powers verry in differances but the most basic are to change it's size It is usualy rufly the size of a large lion maybe a bit biger All it's parts are prapotionate to its body whatever its size It can usualy go as small as a small cat or even a mouse and it usualy can grow as tall as a house They don't usualy grow much biger than a lion though because it is impractical But they will often have two favorate sizes and will enterchange from one to the other periodicly It also has telacaneses It can move things with its mind and can hear your thoughts It can even go into your brain with out you being awair of it and find all your memories and what you know They can change your memorys if it so pleases them and can also leave with out letting you know They are feerles creachers and will walk up to anything or one that pleases them They are also verry prowd and dangerus You don't want to anger them Usualy they are verry protective of there pack or there chosen human compainion They will chose a compainion not the human They can fly in silence on the wings of an owl and make no sound Thouh they do have a tendency to Whoot at the moon There voice can also range in pich and sound They have an earthy voice that may sound of nature such as rocks or wind When they Whoot it is somthing between a woot and a howl Though you can only understand them if they wish you to There is not many of them for different reasons and they are not offten seen or if they are the ones who have seen them's memory is erased of that particulare setting They may even give you a false memory They can be mischivious and like to toy with humans and other creachers They rome and have no particular home in one spot There claws retract but are sharper than normal lion's claws They are more like small dagars in feel They have verry sharp teath though they are usualy verry gental cairing crachers They do not kill for fun but for food Though they do enjoy the hunt and will often hunt and not kill just trap and then let them go If the prey getts to easy they will move on to other lands and different pray They usualy are verry gental creachers and though mischivious don't hurt people or any thing for fun They do not like to kill and respect all life They also often have elimental powers Sometimes all sometimes only one or two It depends on the cracher They basicly will do as they please Though there personalitys can verry these are just basic charicteristics Like any other species they have there evil and out cast but not many because it realy doesn't run in there nature They often find a human they like and follow it or keep it around as a pet Well usualy the human thinks it is the other way around They will help if they think it is nesisary but usualy they simply like to wach and toyal in things that shouldn't concern them They are verry cunning crachers and are extreemly inteligent More so than humans

passion and intensity of the ecstatic dance the sheer physicality of it is closely associated with the masculine energy the forceful and aggressive impulse that can bring courage in its wake And no one every doubted that Ares had courageBut what of his loves Ares never married although he had over twenty lovers who bore him children And apparently his love affairs weren't overnighters but were trickery abduction or rape to establish his love affairs Ares is best known for his long-term love affair with the goddess Aphrodite the goddess of romance and beauty His lengthy love affair with Aphrodite led to the birth of four children--their daughter Harmonia (Harmony) later became the mother of the Amazons a tribe of fearsome warrior women The tabloids were probably invented for the sole to rehab 'Then I realized it isn't a shame to ask for help' n nJONNA NYGREN broken up with Ville Valo nI returned stronger from the rehab n nIn the world of society columns Jonna Nygren 27 should have been a lucky girl There Jonna lives as a rock wife for the lead singer Ville Valo 30 of the most successful Finnish band Him She spinned around in celebrity-model events and got her own show to host at Moon-tv Sub-tv and latest MTV n nThe couple got engaged last summer in Provinssirock and instead of rings they got tattoos on their fingers and bought a house from Helsinki's most expensive neighborhood The fans cried for the taken Ville and Jonna got suggestions for an interview with the idea of 'Finland's most hated normal person' She declined for that story but in an other revealed that the couple were thinking of names for future children Ville praised the power of relationship and told that his lady was hoping for a winter wedding n nAt the change of the year mud was thrown vicious circle- nJONNA WENT TO REHAB nIn reality burn out and its self medication drove Jonna to rehab Jonna counts that her problems started about half a year ago When Ville was touring with Him Jonna lived alone in the couples' apartment and killed time with working Too much n nReal life really wasn't just living as a rock wife Jonna has worked in restaurant business her whole working life and in addition to that has done modeling jobs and TV-hosting The shifts at the favorite restaurants of Helsinki could stretch out to 3 am and waking up for the days hosting job was at 5am She started feeling overtired and irritated Even though the fatigue weighted heavy sleep didn't come n n-I was always tense weepy and depressed Was so damn tired but just had to go on I was constantly taking more work although I wasn't feeling good n nJonna started medicating her insomnia and bad feelings n n-When I got home in the evenings I drank red wine so I could relax Sleep on the other hand didn't come without tranquilizers or sleeping pills That lead to that I in the morning had to stuff my face full with caffeine tablets because the usual coffee wakening didn't help anymore she tells n nOver-tiredness stress and pressure of the relationship got deeper and worse It was a full job for Jonna to get out of her house and take care of the agreed shifts but still she couldn't recognize the condition she was getting into n n-In that treadwheel I didn't even notice the symptoms of depression I felt violent anxiety and often felt like crying but didn't stop to think what was wrong with me n nThe final stop came in the middle of March when Jonna withdrew to her home n n-I was drinking by myself and was physically so dead tired that I couldn't even drag myself to the bathroom or the toilet Everything felt so overwhelming My friends came to visit and found me in the apartment in a confused state of mind I hadn't showered for a week I didn't have strenght for anything n nThe friends stayed for the night to support Jonna and contacted her mother The psychiatric-mother who works with youngsters who have drug problems understood immediately that now care was needed not scolding n n-Only after the others came for help I realized that this is what I needed I felt enormously relieved It felt like a rock had been lifted from me when I was found and I got to say that I needed help n nMother guided to rehab n nAlthough the ultimate reason for Jonnas sickness were depression and over-tiredness firstly the drug dependence that had formed in the near months had to be taken care of Jonna was guided to the Aurora hospital in Helsinki but that didn't feel like the right place not in her or the doctors opinion With mothers advice she went to Pellas which is specialized for rehabitation n n-In the connection you talk about drug rehab Though I wasn't doing drugs my medication dependency needed the same kind of treatment n nJonna praises Pellas' 11-person rehabitation center A home-like atmosphere and an intimate spirit dominated the little unit n n-The other recoveries were amazing personalities I don't remember laughing so much in ages We nwere able to laugh at ourselves and our restlessness That helped the recovery On the other hand you realized it isn't a shame to ask for help There are others alike n nOnly in the rehab Jonna realized in what a bad shape she had been in nShe portrays herself as a performer who tries to please everybody from friend to employer n n-I like to take care of others That way you forget your own troubles A nurse in Pallas reminded me that now I was resting myself There I realized that I don't have to be a superwoman and assiduously assure that I can handle everything Its ok to say that I'm completely dead tired n nPallas concentrates on resting discussing eating well and exercising Jonna had lost weight and was in a fragile condition so rehab and insomnia were tough for the body too n n-I did handiwork when I got an allowance for knitting needles They were forbidden in the house rules but luckily the nurses saw that knitting is an effective way for me to calm down n nJonna was in Pellas for a month During that time she was only in contact with her mother The rest of the world had to wait n n-When the month came to close the thought of leaving was frightening I had gotten used to having support near My other life had been on pause for the whole treatment and I was nervous on what kind of pressures I would encounter in the outer world n nAfter the rehab Jonna started therapy At first she had a threshold with talking to a complete stranger When the beginning reservedness was gotten over with the care-relationship became encouraging Therapy concentrates on taking care of the depression and finding out where it all started A therapist doesn't give you advice but helps you think and understand n n-I have learned enormously about myself and realized how things are connected to each other and how our experiences affect us This has been an interesting journey in myself and it probably would suit everybody even if they weren't going through a dramatic stop like this n nVille calls daily n nThe relationship was ended over the phone- VILLE DUMPED JONNA The engaged couples break was in the tabloids in the beginning of March It was told that Ville left Jonna with a text message Jonna doesn't talk about Ville and herself as we anymore Instead of a break up she would rather call it a break She doesn't want to chew over the reasons of the break here n n-We were both drunk then one in Athens one in Finland We were having a war with text messages racingly sending each other mean bitchy messages It was a blunder episode of two drunkards where one was trying to focus on its job the going to sleep and again when he has woken up We talk about this and that How are you eating porridge what are you doing watching a movie n nJonna reminds that every relationship has problems that are not supposed to be straightened out over the phone You have to talk these things through face to face n n-Even though it's hard to believe things have a habit of straightening out I have my idea on how things are gonna continue and where I'll in the end settle up in but thats between us n nFor now Jonna lives with her mother in Hyvink The ex-couples home in Kaivopuisto is on sale and Ville has gotten a new house from Munkkiniemi n nJonna admits that a traveling job caused pressure in the relationship but that staying apart also had its charm Both got time for their selves and the moments shared together are even more appreciated Jonna toured around with Him in few occasions for the longest she was with them on the American tour Jonna was also going to go to Australia and Japan but her sickness ruined the plans n n-Only on the road I realized what a hard job the guys are doing In the morning you wake up to do interviews then you transfer to where the gig is taking place In the night you move to the next target where the routines are repeated Glamour is far from it and everyone who manages tour life deserves respect n nIt also takes guts for them who stay at home n n-Maybe even At the age of 17 she left to Helsinki for a few days holiday and forgot herself in her friends house for a month and later moved there entirely A few years later she ended up in New York just as spontaniously: a one month holiday expanded to three years nJonnas and Ville Valos roads crossed for the first time in 2003 when Jonna was visiting Finland She was slowly planning on returning to Finland but when the love flamed the plans speeded up n nJonna says she wasn't the least bit interested in standing in publicity next to Ville and didn't let it change her life She had gotten her own share of publicity with her jobs on Moon-TV Sub-TV and now on MTV To gossiping Jonna has an uncaring attitude n n-Half acquitances call and tell things on our behalf So what That doesn't feel like a sign of weakness Close relations and doctors have praised her to be brave she did confess she needed help and even told the public about her hell n n-Going to rehab was the best opinion for me at that moment I wasn't the first definitely not the last and asking for help is nothing to be ashamed of n nJonna is thankful for the support her friends gave her She hadn't realized how many people she had who cared about her n n-Though then there are those who think I was in rehab because I was crazy n nJonna admits that she couldn't have survived without the help of her mother Mom knew that instead of condemnation understanding was needed It would have been easy to turn your back on your drunkard and take a condemnated attitude n n-My mother was an absolutely fabulous help and the tough
