Graphite on copy paper All traced from seven different pictures except for the Fuck you billboard and 777 lights and star those were the only 'original' thing in it Except for the orientation of the images to tell a story that's all my own The dark girl on the far right is symbolic of of nuetralevil redemption the flowers represent beauty and the cheetahs destruction They are named Dionysus and Bacchus after the figure in Greek and Roman mythology the god of wine Also the god of powerful cats There is a fascinating story in mythology concerning one of the Bacchus Revelries the whole population of the ancient city would get naked and go into the woods to hunt huge beasts Very much a blood orgy In the story a vengeful wife learns of her husband's incestuous deciets and sends him into the woods in a lion skin He's torn apart by the mob and they bring his head on a stake back into town dancingIn another story of Dionysus same guy slightly different mood between Green n' Roman myths of a young boy found at sea by mean pirates who all but for one shiphand capture him and put the boy in the brig and tell him he'll be a slave for the rest of his life And it doesn't look good for him The single shiphand says they should unlock the cell and feed the boy but the others talk over him and sneer Loud ugly men The boy says won't they listen or let me out Something quiet when he knows he will be heardAnd they laugh at himWhen they come to the bars the boy isn't there It's the slender God Dionysus surrounded by panthers and tigers cheetahs and lynxes Destruction ReignsAnother ship finds a lone man in the water Clinging to a blasted piece of rigging is the man the lone survivor who spoke up for freedom I didn't like the tornado at first but it looks very nice in the strange orange light of this picture I took the photo by the light of GREEN neon cactusnovelty lamp so you can imagine I'm pleased with the incongrous color and effect it lends
