This was when six of us traveled to Dublin for part of our five day break This was something that I was a little apprehensive about just because I have never stayed in a hostel before and while ours was actually pretty nice I wouldn't say that it is my preferred place to stay when traveling This was a great trip although I wish we had been able to spend one more day there Dublin is a very pretty city and we walked around and took a bus tour on Sunday I would have loved to have been able to go to Hoth though and see the shore and the Irish landscapes Our first night there we went on a bar crawl and it was really cool because our leader had actually been in East Lansing before It was so cool to see that even when thousands of miles away from home you can still find people that know about East Lansing

The '99 Grand Caravan SE 33L Quad bucket 7 pass seating AMFM CD Cass factory stereo tilt cruise winlocks keyless entry rear heatair alloy wheels double sliding doors my mother purchased this vehicle new in '99 I purchased it from her after 3 years and 55K My wife and I have had it ever since The vehicle has currently 147K on it and is very dependable No leaks there is some moisture around the valve covers and I replaced the valve cover gaskets at about 115K The transmission began slipping at approx 120K At which point I had everything replaced transfer case included the only thing original was the transmission housing I had them install an additional transmission cooler A small radiator mounted left of center of the actual radiator This was the weak point of these transmissions they couldn't cool the transmission fluid enough Since we have replaced the transmission We have gone to Ohio and back Thanksgiving we went to Sneads Ferry NC 375 hours one way The next weekend we went to Asheville to the Biltmore Estate We left Sunday and my wife dropped me off and took the van straight to Charleston SC for a conference We have put 2000 miles on the van in the last three weeks No problems very reliable and as you can see we aren't scared to load the two kids and go It has two new front tires with under 5k on them I replaced the AC compressor it was a year in August It has not been in an accident other than my wife backed into the tire stop on my former Jeep Cracked the tail light and put a small dent in the tail gate I fixed the tail light immediately and have put off fixing the dent Its been three years now and still haven't gotten around to fixing the dent My kids have gotten old enough they can fasten their own seat belts although it is handy I would like to have a Jeep once more I have had a Jeep for the Last 11 years Now I don't have one and miss it The Saturn is a 4cyl 5 speed We bought it two years ago in March My wife had the same type of Saturn for a 39 mos lease prior of which we had no mechanical problems so she decided she wanted another We have only had to change the oil and she recently put new tires all the way around within the last 10K The mileage is about 150K on this car but again it is my wife's little gas saver 29 city 39 Hwy and I rarely drive it so I am not that familiar with the mileage It is pretty basic I did give her a Sony 10 CD changer for the car last Christmas No leaks the AC and heat works great the paint and body is in great condition Nice thing about these is they had the dent resistant door panels so none of those door dings from parking lots The clutch and brakes are good I will have to send the pics in lots of 4 so there will be several emails to follow My wife knows if I trade her car for the Jeep then she will be getting a new one So if you were wondering why she would let me trade her car I hope that helps you understand

Dear family Kezia is now 4 months old and very healthy She starts to giggle and enjoy our book reading Since the price of children books can be very expensive I decided to buy only some good books for her We have a baby shop in town that sells children books published by an Australian publisher and a book agent that sells books produced by Grolier International Every month we buy one book for Kezia in that children baby shop and she enjoys the time when we read the book for her We also order a complete set of Grolier children encyclopedia entitled I Wonder Why The books will arrive the two next months For the other books I decided to make them myself As I have a great collection of clipart CDs I can pick up pictures and have them printed neatly At the moment I have made 3 story books and 2 other books containing pictures of animals and numbers I also made for her one Bible Story book based on the old WCG Children BIble Study Course Erna reads for her a Bible story every morning Here I attach some present pictures of Kezia and us Since she is big enough to go outside just on the other Sunday we took her out for a morning walk We were in a park in front of city's mayor building I also attach a sound file of her first giggleAll the best Arius Erna and our little Kezia NB Her birth certificate is DONE She is our legal daughter now Thanks for your prayers

This is the dress that Sarah got to wear to Paul's house this past Christmas 2008 but she fell asleep on the floor before we got to eat and even before we got to get any pictures of her We really didn't have any presents and no one else had a tree so it wasn't that festive for a kid's world so I just didn't get a chance to take any pictures then Even though we had school picture day I wanted to get some pictures of Sarah in her cute dresses being that we never go anywhere that we can wear them and she's outgrown her shoes that go with them and for some reason her stockings that went with them and fit have all just disappeared I have been taking what I can and will have to do some photoediting of the originals and use a superimposed background being that I don't have a nice background and you see the condition of our walls with the old flat paint that the apartment was originally painted with when we got here Next time I hope they use semigloss due to the resiliency and hopefully it won't get so dirty and hard to clean I tried to get a few pictures over the weekend as I could when Sarah would either pose or stay still I had a ton of things to do and as I got them done things stacked up in other areas but I managed to get some pictures to work with and will hopefully get more later People often look at what we have and think that we have more than they do and that's not the case Sarah was ordered by a medical doctor for OT and PT due to a brain injury and this has been the case since 2003 I've been doing the best that I can to take care of her and give her what she needs since that time at the cost of a great deal of my life but she's my child and is worth it even through times that I would have never imagined seeing myself living through with her just praying that things got better but waiting and waiting and waiting Anyway Saturday evening I made pancakes sausage and scrambled eggs for everyone The meal came out nice I had a huge plate of left overs which I made LLO'C

From Wikipedia Cliff House has had five major incarnations since its beginnings in 1858 That year Samuel Brannan a prosperous exMormon elder from Maine bought for 1500 the lumber salvaged from a ship that foundered on the basalt cliffs below With this material he built the first Cliff House The second Cliff house was built for Captain Junius G Foster but it was a long trek from the city and hosted mostly horseback riders small game hunters or picnickers on day outings With the opening of the Point Lobos toll road a year later the Cliff House became successful with the Carriage trade for Sunday travel The builders of the toll road constructed a two mile speedway beside it where welltodo San Franciscans raced their horses along the way On weekends there was little room at the Cliff House hitching racks for tethering the horses for the thousands of rigs Soon omnibus railways and streetcar lines made it to near Lone Mountain where passengers transferred to stagecoach lines to the beach The growth of Golden Gate Park attracted beach travelers in search of meals and a look at the Sea Lions sunning themselves on Seal Rock just off the cliffs to visit the areaIn 1877 the toll road now Geary Boulevard was purchased by the City for around 25000 In 1883 after a few years of downturn the Cliff House was bought by Adolph Sutro who had solved the problems of ventilating and draining the mines of the Comstock Lode and become a multimillionaire After a few years of quiet management by JM Wilkens the Cliff House was severely damaged by an explosion of the schooner Parallel that went aground under the reasons of dynamite The blast was heard a hundred miles away and demolished the entire north wing of the tavern Seven years later on Christmas 1894 the patched and repaired old building burned down Wilkens was unable to save the guest register which included the signatures of three Presidents and dozens of illustrious worldfamous visitorsIn 1896 Adolph Sutro built a new Cliff House a seven story Victorian Chateau called by some the Gingerbread Palace below his estate on the bluffs of Sutro Heights This was the same year work began on the famous Sutro Baths which included six of the largest indoor swimming pools north of the Restaurant that included a museum skating rink and other pleasure grounds Great throngs of San Franciscans arrived on steam trains bicycles carts and horse wagons on Sunday excursionsThe Cliff House and Sutro Baths survived the 1906 earthquake with little damage but burned to the ground on the evening of September 7 1907 Rebuilding of the restaurant was completed within two years and with additions and modern restorations is the one seen todayCliff House in background past Sutro Bath Ruins 2008Cliff House in background past Sutro Bath Ruins 2008The building was acquired by the National Park Service in 1977 and it became part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area The site overlooks the Seal Rock and the former site of the Sutro Baths More than thirty ships have been pounded to pieces on the southern shore of the Golden Gate below the Cliff House

Dear classmatesHere's all of us who made it to the Las Vegas reunion There were 8 of us standing from left to right Ernie Roque Alberto Sayson Jaime Calleja and Rodolfo Ramos Sitting from left to right Nonette CastellanoMangiardi Elizbeth BajilloSnell Evangeline PelaezRoque and me Emy TolentinoPerezWe had so much fun we wanted to continue it to the MARHS Grand Alumni Homecoming in The Philippines which is usually the last Sunday of JanuaryBert Sayson and I are sure to go home while Ernie and Evie are half convinced and Beth and Nonette are considering the ideaExcept for Rod Ramos and Bert Sayson we all stayed at Sahara Hotel and Casino where we had most of our pictures taken We also got the priviledge to see the new house of Bert 20 minutes away from the strip and he was so nice to volunteer his house for our next reunion which we tentatively set 2 years from now so no one will have an excuse not to be there That will also give Bert ample time to get his swimming pool built He HeBert was so nice to pick up Beth and I at the airport and he Jaime and Ernie took turns driving us who flew around Vegas From the airport we had lunch with half of the group at the Sahara Then we chased Rod Ramos to the shopping outlet to greet him and his wife Irene a happy anniversaryWe then met up with Jaime and his wife Liza and proceeded to Bert's big new house Then we had our sumptuous seafood dinner at a buffet recommended by Bert Food was great and we all had fun celebrating Evie's birthday Jokes were bouncing back and forth at the table and we all reminisced on our MARHS days when we were young and beautiful Of course we look more beautiful now that we are padded with some 50s fat and burdened with our professional mature and very respectable but hardly noticed wrinkles Naks haOur get together was honored by supports from Jaime Calleja's sweet wife Liza who has always been a real trooper every reunion that we bestowed on her the Honorary Alumni title and Nonette CastellanoMangiardi's friend who tirelessly volunteered to take our beautiful picturesThanks to the hospitality of Ernie and Evie who again took us to the Military Commissary to fill the women's obsession for shopping I got a great deal on a camcorder myselfOur 2 days were so hectic that we hardly played the slots which is why everybody proposed to spend our next reunion for at least 3 days And the next time will be more fun because we can all be pitching in to cook and prepare food of our choice in the big kitchen of Bert and his wifeBeth BajilloSnell will again coordinate the next reunion while Jaime promised to start a website for MARHS Alumni So please email him your recent beautiful pictures with your family if you wish so we can put pressure on our very busy Engineer He HeI'm sure they will also give you their versions of our reunion and share with you some pictures they tookYou were all missed and please don't let it happen again He He Be there next time or beyou know what I mean He HeHave a nice day Emy TolentinoPerez
