OpeningA slap in the face with ice cold water the first thing when you wake up is pleasant is it not My first instincts told me to try and find a way out of the firing range of the heavy spray but I was boxed in tightly I tried to open my eyes but there was some sort of soap solution mixed in with the water and it was getting me in the eyes bad I quickly grasped the situation and my frustration started to fester Those Sticks had nothing better to do this early in the morning huh Oh Yeah Sticks Insane Scientist that work for Chaos Inc Chaos Inc An organization thats main goal is to improve man and the beasts around him Sounds great huh Well its not Water was gushing at me from like five different directions all four walls around me and from strait above I tried to cover my eyes but it didnt help that the water was coming at me at eyelevel After at least a minute and a half of soapy sudsy water hitting me in the face it turned into normal ice cold rushing water I was able to at least open my eyes and get a better idea of my surroundings It was one of the normal wash cells Three of the walls around me were tiled with dark blue tiles well everywhere but the three inch strips of water sprayers Above the whole sealing was just one big showerhead One wall was made of metal steal I think It was probably the door The floor was one large metal grill with inch by inch holes The cold was starting to really sink in and I rapped my arms around me and realized I was still wearing my lab gown The lab gowns were made of flannel material Mine reached a few inches below my knees and had long sleeves They had buckles down the front so Sticks could get it open quickly if necessary At least it was better then the guys trousers They just got pants made out of the same material as the gowns Id only seen the guys clothes once they didnt let the projects hang together muchAs awkwardly and suddenly that the water had started it stopped I swear it was only giving the ice water a chance to soak into my bones Then it was like they let frozen outside air in through the grid below me like a frozen hair drier And Im positive that I saw snowflakes flying up around me When it stopped if I was a normal human I probably would have had hypothermia My dress was still wet and was making me even colder as it clung to my body I caught a glance of my reflection in the metal wall and stopped to look Id seen my reflection a lot of times on tile floors in the hallways when the Sticks were dragging me around and in aliod materials on the machines when they took me in for heavy experiments before I went under I would look over at myself wondering if I would wake up later to see itAnyway when ever I saw myself I would see a dark face with dark hair that clung to her body lathered in oil and dirt so it locked in place and was chunky and hard But the girl that I was looking at now was as white or whiter then a ghost I probably made Albinos look tan And my hair was an uncontrollable frizz that was sticking up in the air like an afro But the thing that got my attention the most was the eyes They were the strangest shade of purple that Id ever seen Only later did I bother to really find the name for the color Amethyst The metal door before me slid up and startled me I jumped back and looked out It was white and bright lights hung over the long thin hallway The lights were so bright that the walls seemed almost invisible I wouldnt have left the wash cell if not for the shock that ran up my leg from the shock bracelet around my ankle Lucky me I was so cold and stiff that it took a few extra seconds for the shock to hit my brainI jumped out and started running The floor was slightly warmer then the shower and my bare feet were in heaven The lights were giving off some heat and my body was eating it up As I was running I started to hear things again the inner thoughts of the other projects They must have been near by maybe on the other side of the walls around me Most of them were thinking the same stuff as me What are those Sticks thinking Freezing Freezing I want food I bet there just going to do another assembly again Whatz with the ice shower They think they need to test our nerve system tooJust so you know I can hear other peoples thoughts Its like I have a radio antenna sticking out of my head figuratively of course and I pick up on everyones thoughts in a certain radius around me Its hard for me to hear through thick walls but if I really try I could probably find some one miles away from me but I find hearing what other people think an invasion of their privacy so I try to avoid listeningThe hallway was like a maze and from what I was hearing others were getting annoyed as well with all the twists and turns Finally I reached the end And by end I mean end There was just a wall there My body was warmer now and everything but my dress was dry As others reached their walls they started thinking more frantically and though I tried to block it out I couldnt make their curious minds go awayAs I stood there fighting the voices in my head I started finding a similarity in them They were all starting to complain about a sweet smell in the air I closed my eyes and took a wift of the air and realized they were right the air did small sweet The door shot open in front of me but now that I was at my most alert It didnt startle me quite as much Instead of waiting for the shock I stepped into the darkness When I stepped through the others were out with me as well I could see some of their silhouettes with the light coming out from the doors and had time to realize I was at the end of the line before the doors all slammed shut in unison I normally have great night vision but after such bright light it would take my eyes a moment to adjust Then a loud female computerized voice came out over the loud speakers above Good morning children I heard a couple of complaints from what sounded like older projects that I guess considered He sits in a meadow of pink and purple flowers Leaning back on his elbows He looks around himself Barly being able to see over the tops of the flowers from where he lays Strolls on the boundaries of the meadow She casually flicks her hair over her shoulders allowing it to cascade down her back He notices somthing moving along the perimiter of the meadow He pushes him self to a crisscross sit and
