/>
The ArizonaSonora Desert - DeathofSaguaros.jpg

The Story Behind the ArizonaSonora Desert MuseumFiled under History Outdoor Adventures by Erin on 362008Occasionally circumstances bring together people from opposite walks of life who join forces and create a masterpiece Such was the case when Arthur Newton Pack met William H Carr in 1951But first some background William H Carr was born in New York in 1902 His was a modest family headed by his father who was a school principal Early in life his mother encouraged his interest in nature His fathers early death forced William into the workforce at the age of 17 As the only child Carr dropped out of high school to help support his motherCarrs Boy Scout career he eventually achieved the esteemed rank of Eagle Scout led to an encounter with Benjamin Talbot Babbitt Hyde who worked for the American Museum of Natural History After a brief stint of volunteer work with the organization Carr found himself in their employ A hard worker and curious man Carr soon moved up to the position of Associate Curator of EducationIn 1926 Carr was offered the opportunity to establish a revolutionary nature trailside museum at Bear Mountain Park in New York Carr devoted the next 18 years of his life to that endeavor before health issues forced him to seek a new home in drier climes In 1944 a magazine article enticed him to Tucson he arrived in Arizona with little more than four suitcases and 400Carr fell in love with the Sonoran Desert of southern Arizona indeed who wouldnt and was dismayed by the locals complete disregard for and ignorance of their environs The fragile landscape around Tucson was being trampled mined plowed under and trashed to death Carrs sentiments were shared by another newcomer to Tucson Arthur Newton PackPack was born in 1893 in Cleveland Ohio Packs father Charles Lathrop Pack was a very wealthy man who made his millions in the timber industry Ironically the man who amassed a fortune by clearcutting forests became a leader in the conservation movement In 1907 Charles was appointed to the Conservation Commission by none other than the great conservationist President Theodore Roosevelt The elder Pack went on to found the Charles Lathrop Pack Forestry Foundation the American Tree Association and head the World Court LeagueAfter graduating from Harvard in 1915 Arthur Pack also a conservationist founded the American Nature Association with his father and became editor of the associations Nature Magazine In the 1930s Arthur Pack fell in love with the high desert of northern New Mexico which led him to purchase the storied Ghost Ranch Pack moved out the ranch and devoted his time and energy to opening a dude ranch for guests from the eastOne of his visitors who eventually lived in a cottage on the ranch was the rising artist Georgia OKeeffe At Packs wedding in 1936 to Phoebe Finley OKeeffe presented the couple with a cowskull design When the Packs opened the Ghost Ranch Lodge on the outskirts of Tucson in 1941 OKeeffes cowskull design was incorporated in the entrance sign By 1946 the Packs had permanently moved to Tucson only visiting their land in New Mexico on vacationsPacks love affair with the Sonoran Desert translated into action Pack was soon a member of the Pima County Park Commission working on issues of protection and conservation in the Tucson area In 1951 Carr and Pack met and realized that they shared a vision for helping people love the Sonoran Desert They immediately combined their talents and resources and the ArizonaSonora Desert Trailside Museum was bornWorking with the Pima County Park Commission the men secured land around the Mountain House on the west side of the Tucson Mountains The Mountain House was built in the 1930s by the Civilian Conservation Corps but had lain idle since WWII The location was ideal since it bordered both the Saguaro National Monument now a National Park and the Tucson Mountain ParkThe museum opened on Labor Day 1952 and even though there were no paved roads in the area over 1000 people visited that day Though the name has changed Trailside was dropped within the first few years the museums mission to conserve the Sonoran Desert by helping people understand and appreciate it has not It is quite a mission since the Sonoran Desert stretches across southern Arizona into California and through the Mexican states of Sonora and Baja California The nonprofit museum is much more than just a museum it is also part zoo and part arboretumWe recently toured the museum with family and as always we had a wonderful time There is quite a bit to explore and since the exhibits are designed to resemble the natural environment the experience is one of a kind There are over two miles of trails that lead the visitor past reptiles birds mammals rocks fossils and plantsall of them native to the Sonoran Desert The museum showcases over 300 animals and 1200 species of plants truly a remarkable collection In keeping with its mission the museum continually seeks to improve and expand not just its collections but its research and education efforts tooThough the two men came from entirely different backgrounds they shared a passion for the Sonoran Desert and for conservation Pack and Carr continued to work together on other projects including founding the Ghost Ranch Museum in New Mexico with a similar goal They made a good team since Carr had the knowhow and Pack had the money In describing Pack Carr once said Having been born with a silver spoon he used it to feed others as well as himself The world renowned Desert Museum is an important part of Tucsons cultural legacy and is a testament to the foresight of both Pack and Carr

The Story Behind the ArizonaSonora Desert MuseumFiled under History Outdoor Adventures by Erin on 362008Occasionally circumstances bring together people from opposite walks of life who join forces and create a masterpiece Such was the case when Arthur Newton Pack met William H Carr in 1951But first some background William H Carr was born in New York in 1902 His was a modest family headed by his father who was a school principal Early in life his mother encouraged his interest in nature His fathers early death forced William into the workforce at the age of 17 As the only child Carr dropped out of high school to help support his motherCarrs Boy Scout career he eventually achieved the esteemed rank of Eagle Scout led to an encounter with Benjamin Talbot Babbitt Hyde who worked for the American Museum of Natural History After a brief stint of volunteer work with the organization Carr found himself in their employ A hard worker and curious man Carr soon moved up to the position of Associate Curator of EducationIn 1926 Carr was offered the opportunity to establish a revolutionary nature trailside museum at Bear Mountain Park in New York Carr devoted the next 18 years of his life to that endeavor before health issues forced him to seek a new home in drier climes In 1944 a magazine article enticed him to Tucson he arrived in Arizona with little more than four suitcases and 400Carr fell in love with the Sonoran Desert of southern Arizona indeed who wouldnt and was dismayed by the locals complete disregard for and ignorance of their environs The fragile landscape around Tucson was being trampled mined plowed under and trashed to death Carrs sentiments were shared by another newcomer to Tucson Arthur Newton PackPack was born in 1893 in Cleveland Ohio Packs father Charles Lathrop Pack was a very wealthy man who made his millions in the timber industry Ironically the man who amassed a fortune by clearcutting forests became a leader in the conservation movement In 1907 Charles was appointed to the Conservation Commission by none other than the great conservationist President Theodore Roosevelt The elder Pack went on to found the Charles Lathrop Pack Forestry Foundation the American Tree Association and head the World Court LeagueAfter graduating from Harvard in 1915 Arthur Pack also a conservationist founded the American Nature Association with his father and became editor of the associations Nature Magazine In the 1930s Arthur Pack fell in love with the high desert of northern New Mexico which led him to purchase the storied Ghost Ranch Pack moved out the ranch and devoted his time and energy to opening a dude ranch for guests from the eastOne of his visitors who eventually lived in a cottage on the ranch was the rising artist Georgia OKeeffe At Packs wedding in 1936 to Phoebe Finley OKeeffe presented the couple with a cowskull design When the Packs opened the Ghost Ranch Lodge on the outskirts of Tucson in 1941 OKeeffes cowskull design was incorporated in the entrance sign By 1946 the Packs had permanently moved to Tucson only visiting their land in New Mexico on vacationsPacks love affair in the FamilyAs the daughter of Stan Lathan one of Hollywoods most prolific sitcom producers and Broadway actress Eleanor McCoy Lathan has known about the pitfalls of show business for a very long time But despite her pedigree the acting bug didnt really bite her until she was accepted into the prestigious Yale Drama Schoolthe same program that spawned the likes of Bassett Meryl Streep and Paul my way to law school when I got into Yale Growing up Lathan was encouraged to always flex her creative muscles The native New Yorker recalls staging plays in the familys living room with her mother and writing her own scripts It was just kind of a constant vibe of creativity around her house said Lathan My mother was always very encouraging of creativity Stan who eventually moved to LA and Eleanor who remained in New York split up when Lathan was five turning her into a bicoastal kid Shuttling back and forth between parents on opposite sides of the country wasnt as stressful as it always drawn to Broadway says Lathan who was nominated for a Best Actress Tony in 2004 for her role as Beneatha in Raisin Ironically even though she has worked extensively in televisionincluding a stint as a regular on the NBC sitcom LateLine in the 90sLathan and her father the creative force behind Def Comedy Jam and Def Poetry Jam have never worked together Early on there could have been stuff for me to do like some of his sitcom stuff but it quickly became a thing where it just wasnt the road I was taking she says And now hes doing more realitybased stuff and documentaries But I think we will eventually do something togetherLove FootballWhen shes not working Lathan loves to pamper herself with spa days curl up at home alone with a good book hang out with her girls like Regina Hall or Nia Long watch The Iron Chef and work out I really sound kind of boring huh she apologizes She also enjoys jetting off to fun spots with her man during the offseason During the season she attends his games in Chicago and on the road when her schedule allows Its no wonder her dog has an attitude about her being away so much It doesnt take a psychic to see that Lathan is smitten with Ogunleye but if hes the one shes keeping it to herself While she hopes to become a wife and mother someday she isnt one to listen to the ticking of her pesky biological clock I really want it to be organic I want it to happen because its right for me and my partner she says Of course there is that fear and the statistics about the biological clock and having kids Whenever that comes up I just try to breathe and say You know what Just have faith that it will all work out perfectly Thats not to say that I dont have my days when I get depressed or angry she continues But I definitely practice optimism and gratitude Ive seen a difference since I started doing that Its like your life shifts around you when you practice that attitude of gratitude

ROCK-LP-ElvisCostelloEvereryDayIPla.jpg

When Elvis Costello's first record was released in 1977 his bristling cynicism and anger linked him with the punk and new wave explosion A cursory listen to My Aim Is True proves that the main connection that Costello had with the punks was his unbridled passion He tore through rock's back pages taking whatever he wanted as well as borrowing from country Tin Pan Alley pop reggae and many other musical genres Over his career that musical eclecticism has distinguished Costello's records as much as his fiercely literate lyrics Because he supports his lyrics with his richly diverse music Costello is one of the most innovative influential and best songwriters since Bob DylanThe son of British bandleader Ross McManus Costello born Declan McManus worked as a computer programmer during the early '70s performing under the name DP Costello in various folk clubs In 1976 he became the leader of countryrock group Attractions they made their live debut in July of 1977My Aim Is True his debut album was released in the summer of 1977 to positive reviews the album climbed to number 14 on the British charts but it wasn't released on his American label Columbia Records until later in the year Along with Nick Lowe Ian Dury and Wreckless Eric Costello participated in the Stiffs Live package tour in the fall At the end of the year Jake Riviera split from Stiff Records to form Radar Records taking Costello and Lowe with him Costello's last single for Stiff the reggaeinflected Watching the Detectives became his first hit climbing to number 15 at the end of the yearThis Year's Model Costello's first album recorded with the Attractions was released in the spring of 1978 A rawer harderrocking record than My Aim Is True This Year's Model was also a bigger hit reaching number four in Britain and number 30 in America Released the following year Armed Forces was a more ambitious and musically diverse album than either of his previous records It was another hit reaching number two in the UK and cracking the Top Ten in the US Oliver's Army the first single from the album also peaked at number two in Britain none of the singles from Armed Forces charted in America In the summer of 1979 he produced the selftitled debut album by the Specials the leaders of the ska revival movementIn February of 1980 the soulinfluenced Get Happy was released it was the first record on Riviera's new record label FBeat Get Happy was another hit peaking at number two in Britain and number 11 in America Later that year two collections of Bsides singles and outtakes called Taking Liberties was released in America in Britain a similar album called Ten Bloody Marys Ten How's Your Fathers appeared as a cassetteonly release complete with different tracks than the American versionCostello and the Attractions released Trust in early 1981 it was his fifth album in a row produced by Nick Lowe Trust debuted at number nine in the British charts and worked its way into the Top 30 in the US During the spring of 1981 Costello and the Attractions began recording an album of country covers with famed Nashville producer Billy Sherrill who recorded hit records for George Jones and Charlie Rich among others The resulting album Almost Blue was released at the end of the year to mixed reviews although the single A Good Year for the Roses was a British Top Ten hitCostello's next album Imperial Bedroom 1982 was an ambitious set of lushly arranged pop produced by Geoff Emerick who engineered several of the Beatles' most acclaimed albums Imperial Bedroom received some of his best reviews yet it failed to yield a Top 40 hit in either England or America the album did debut at number six in the UK For 1983's Punch the Clock Costello worked with Clive Langer and Alan Winstanley who were responsible for several of the biggest British hits in the early '80s The collaboration proved commercially successful as the album peaked at number three in the UK number 24 in the US and the single Everyday I Write the Book cracked the Top 40 in both Britain and America Costello tried to replicate the success of Punch the Clock with his next record 1984's Goodbye Cruel World but the album was a commercial and critical failureAfter the release of Goodbye Cruel World Costello embarked on his first solo tour in the summer of 1984 Costello was relatively inactive during 1985 releasing only one new single The People's Limousine a collaboration with singersongwriter TBone Burnett released under the name the Coward Brothers and producing Rum Sodomy and the Lash the second album by the punkfolk band the Pogues Both projects were indications that he was moving toward a strippeddown folky approach and 1986's King of America confirmed that suspicion Recorded without the Attractions and released under the name the Costello Show King of America was essentially a countryfolk album and it received the best reviews of any album he had recorded since Imperial Bedroom It was followed at the end of the year by the edgy Blood and Chocolate a reunion with the Attractions and producer Nick Lowe Costello would not record another album with the Attractions until 1994During 1987 Costello negotiated a new worldwide record contract with Warner Bros Records and began a songwriting collaboration with Paul McCartney Two years later he released Spike the most musically diverse collection he had ever recorded Spike featured the first appearance of songs written by Costello and McCartney including the single Veronica Veronica became his biggest American hit peaking at number 19 Two years later he released Mighty Like a Rose which echoed Spike in its diversity yet it was a darker more challenging record In 1993 Costello collaborated with the Brodsky Quartet on The Juliet Letters a song cycle that was the songwriter's first attempt at classical music he also wrote an entire album for former Transvision Vamp singer Wendy James called Now Ain't the Time for Your Tears That same year Costello licensed the rights to his pre1987 catalog My Aim Is True to Blood and Chocolate to Rykodisc in AmericaCostello reunited with the Attractions to record the majority of 1994's Brutal Youth the most straightforward and poporiented album he had recorded since Goodbye Cruel World The Attractions backed Costello on a worldwide tour in 1994 and played concerts with him throughout 1995 In 1995 he released his longshelved collection of covers Kojak Variety In the spring of 1996 Costello released All This Useless Beauty which featured a number of original songs he had given to other artists but never recorded himself Painted from Memory a collaboration with the legendary Burt Bacharach followed in 1998The album was a success critically but it only succeeded in foreign markets outside of their home countries of the United States and Britain A jazz version of the record made with Bill Frisell was put on hold when Costello's label began to freeze up due to political maneuvering Undaunted Costello and Bacharach hit the road and performed in the States and Europe Then after Bacharach left Costello added Steve Nieve to the tour and traveled around the world on what they dubbed the Lonely World Tour This took them into 1999 where both Notting Hill and Austin Powers The Spy Who Shagged Me featured significant contributions from Costello In fact he appeared with Bacharach in the latter as a pair of Carnaby Street musicians albeit street musicians with a gorgeous grand piano at their disposalContinuing his tour with Nieve he began singing the last song with a microphone forcing the audience to sit in complete silence as he usually performed Couldn't Call It Unexpected No 4 with nothing but his dulcet baritone filling the auditorium After the record company's various mergers ended Costello found himself on Universal Records and he tested their promotional abilities with a second greatesthits record The Very Best of Elvis Costello The label promoted the album strongly making it a hit in his native Britain Unfortunately they also made it clear that they had no intention of giving a new album the same promotional push leaving him to venture into other fields as he awaited the end of his record contract His first project was an album of pop standards performed with Anne Sofie Von Otter which included a few songs originally written by Costello The album came out in March of 2001 on the Deutsche Grammophon label and it neatly coincided with the extensive rerelease of his entire catalog up to 1996 under Rhino Records Each disc included an extra CD of rare material and liner notes written by Costello making them incredible treats for fansIn 2001 he found himself with a residency at UCLA where he performed several concerts and was instrumental in teaching music during the year He also began work on a selfproduced album that featured Pete Thomas and Nieve now billed as a band called the Imposters entitled When I Was Cruel and the album finally saw release on Island Records in the spring of 2002 at the end of the year he released a collection of Bsides and leftovers from the album's sessions entitled Cruel SmileWhen I Was Cruel kicked off another productive era for the ever prolific Costello In 2003 he returned with North a collection of classically styled pop songs pitched halfway between Gershwin and Sondheim The next year he collaborated with his new wife Diana Krall on her first collection of original material The Girl in the Other Room That fall Costello released two albums of original material a classical work entitled Il Sogno and the concept album The Delivery Man a rock roll record cut with the Imposters My Flame Burns Blue from 2006 was a live album with Costello fronting the 52piece jazz orchestra the Metropole Orkest On the album classic Costello songs with new orchestral arrangements appeared alongside new compositions and a performance of the entire Il Sogno The River in Reverse a collaboration with RB legend Allen Toussaint arrived in 2006 followed by Momofuku credited to Elvis Costello the Imposters in 2008 from Lost Highway

When Elvis Costello's first record was released in 1977 his bristling cynicism and anger linked him with the punk and new wave explosion A cursory listen to My Aim Is True proves that the main connection that Costello had with the punks was his unbridled passion He tore through rock's back pages taking whatever he wanted as well as borrowing from country Tin Pan Alley pop reggae and many other musical genres Over his career that musical eclecticism has distinguished Costello's records as much as his fiercely literate lyrics Because he supports his lyrics with his richly diverse music Costello is one of the most innovative influential and best songwriters since Bob DylanThe son of British bandleader Ross McManus Costello born Declan McManus worked as a computer programmer during the early '70s performing under the name DP Costello in various folk clubs In 1976 he became the leader of countryrock group Flip City During this time he recorded several demo tapes of his original material with the intention of landing a record contract A copy of these tapes made its way to Jake Riviera one of the heads of the fledgling independent record label Stiff Riviera signed Costello to Stiff as a solo artist in 1977 the singersongwriter adopted the name Elvis Costello at this time taking his first name from Elvis Presley and his last name from his mother's maiden nameWith former Brinsley Schwarz bassist Nick Lowe producing Costello began recording his debut album with the American band Clover providing support Less />
Pure Fate or good fortune - DSC01752.jpg

There is an interesting story to how I came to be on Fraueninsel a story which shows that to every cloud there is a silver lining The DAAD had provided us with a rail pass five days within a month during which we could travel anywhere in Germany with any highspeed train for free I decided to use my last rail pass day on the romantic Rhein river cruise featuring heaps of castles and the famour Lorelei Berg Unfortunately the train from Koblenz back to Munich was what I will remember as the train from hell It was 2 hours and 41 minutes late In the confusion of the train breakdowns no one bothered to stamp my ticket and I ended up with one extra rail pass day I was going to use this opportunity to travel to Salzburg the following Saturday with three other RISE students but once again things turned out entirely differently from what I had planned The night before Friday was the first day of the famous Isarbruecken festival a gorgeous and impressive celebration commemorating Munich 850's anniversary which took place on the three bridges spanning the Isar river We were supposed to take the opportunity that evening to check out the festival and make arrangements for the trip to Salzburg the next day Incidentally August 1st was also the day I moved to downtown Munich from the outskirts Unterschleissheim and I managed to liberate myself from the hastle of suitcases and rent payment halfanhour after we were all supposed to meet Luckily Pratik and I had arranged to go together and he did wait for me He was quite offended it is reassuring when Pratik is not content that means he still has hope for you someday becoming a responsible person We didn't really manage to catch up to the group but we saw the festival projections on a film of water and I couldn't imagine a more wonderful way to spend the evening The next day I woke up hours after the others had left for Salzburg The morning had passed me by while I was cozily asleep and I was feeling regretful that I had missed the opportunity to travel with people I knew Little did I imagine that this was a chance to discover that travelling alone is one of the greatest gifts and freedoms given to a human being today I would spend almost a month travelling on my own in Germany Netherlands and Norway August 2nd was the last day to take advantage of my fifth rail pass day and the only way I could manage it now was if I picked a short journey stayed at some place close to Munich for three to four hours and came back home at 9 pm I spent about two hours hesitating between attractive destinations and looking up train times before finally settling on Chiemsee the pictures of the second largest lake in Germany looked gorgeous in my guidebook I must say that my journey to Chiemsee was one of the most rich inspiring and vibrant memories of summer 2008 I arrived at Prien am Chiemsee the small and uneventful village near the lake without any particular plan but to see two islands Herreninsel and Fraueninsel As soon as they were off the train people began boarding buses taking them to various places I'd never heard of Unable to decipher the least bit from the signs at the bus stops or the drivers themselves I asked the only two Englishspeaking people I could find for help After only five minutes in their company I was really glad that I had approached Chuck a Europeanlooking man in his fifties and his young daughter Halla As though a positive vibe were about them I could tell that Chuck was a talented creative individual His daughter's kindness quiet reserve and openness to life charmed me Chuck was from Texas and had only been to Germany a few times twice for an academic exchange of a few months Though he had not been here for over decade his knowledge of German was so near to native that I couldn't help but be impressed He was bringing his daughter Halla to take a German course in a tiny village in Beautiful Bavaria He later wrote by email that she loved it Their bus was arriving in an hour and they were glad to walk down to the lake with me in the meantime I was captivated by the warmth and Gastfreundlichkeit guestfriendliness of the local residents when Chuck asked for directions their readiness to offer advice to share stories with laughter Two adorable old ladies spent five minutes deliberating whether Chuck and Halla could make it to the bus stop on time and which path would be best to follow We finally opted for the scenic route the bike path and it ended up being a twenty minute walk down to the lake As we approached the harbour I already liked Chiemsee from the liveliness of its shore the deep blue of its water the majesty of the Alps But my adventure by ferry to Fraueninsel was just beginning as the following photos attempt to tell Walking back to the Hauptbahnof that evening my heart was singing with complete felicity paiting dreams with elegant brushstrokes into the sunset My train ride back to Munich provided further confirmation that coming here had been the right choice Ironically the wagons were filled with people coming back from a day in Salzburg I sat down next to a couple in their late fifties or sixties because they seemed like kindredspirits Before mustering up the courage to talk to them I kept trying to discern what language they were speaking their faces looked familiar to me It turned out that the lady was from Canada and her husband was German from Bayern D They were sitting next to a young man who developed video games in Salzburg featuring illegal migration in Europe from Northern Africa to Southern Spain P The couple told me that Salzburg had been unpleasantly humid stuffed with tourists attracted by the classical music festival I felt all the more glad for my quiet hours by the lake fresh and erholend a German concept evoking repose fulfillment and regeneration The Canadian lady whose name I unfortunately forget though I did ask was humorously hinting at the irresistible advantages of marrying a German man As if I wasn't in love with this culture this land already

glad that I had approached Chuck a Europeanlooking man in his fifties and his young daughter Halla As though a positive vibe were about them I could tell that Chuck was a talented creative individual His daughter's kindness quiet reserve and openness to life charmed me Chuck was from Texas and had only been to Germany a few times twice for an academic exchange of a few months Though he had not been here for over decade his knowledge of German was so near to native that I couldn't help but be impressed He was bringing his daughter Halla to take a German course in a tiny village in Beautiful Bavaria He later wrote by email that she loved it Their bus was arriving in an hour and they were glad to walk down to the lake with me in the meantime I was captivated by the warmth and Gastfreundlichkeit guestfriendliness of the local residents when Chuck asked for directions their readiness to offer advice to share stories with laughter Two adorable old ladies spent five minutes deliberating whether Chuck and Halla could make it to the bus stop on time and which path would be best to follow We finally opted for the scenic route the bike path and it ended up being a twenty minute walk down to the lake As we approached the harbour I already liked Chiemsee from the liveliness of its shore the deep blue of its water the majesty of the Alps But my adventure by ferry to Fraueninsel was just beginning as the following photos attempt to tell Walking back to the Hauptbahnof that evening my heart was singing with complete felicity paiting dreams with elegant brushstrokes into the sunset My train ride back to Munich provided further confirmation that coming here had been the right choice Ironically the wagons were filled with people coming back from a day in Salzburg I sat down next to a couple in their late fifties or sixties because they seemed like kindredspirits Before mustering up the courage to talk to them I kept trying to discern what language they were speaking their faces looked familiar to me It turned out that the lady was from Canada and her husband was German from Bayern D They were sitting next to a young man who developed video games in Salzburg featuring illegal migration in Europe from Northern Africa to Southern Spain P The couple told me that Salzburg had been unpleasantly humid stuffed with tourists attracted by the classical music festival I felt all the more glad for my quiet hours by the lake fresh and erholend a German concept evoking repose fulfillment and regeneration The Canadian lady whose name I unfortunately forget though I did ask was humorously hinting at the irresistible advantages of marrying a German man As if I wasn't in love with this culture this land
