Leader of the Digimon calling themselves The Dark Masters Piedmon was in power prior to the arrival of the DigiDestined killing off many of the digital beings who guarded the DigiEggs that would become the seven partner Digimon and steal the tags and crests The lone survivor Genai escaped with the eggs so Piedmon presumably charged Devimon and Etemon with hiding the tags and crests after the raid When the DigiDestined followed Myotismon and his army to Tokyo Piedmon and his allies took over the Digitail World by reshaping it into Spiral Mountain Piedmon is capable of using magic and flight his signature attack being Trump Sword Like Devimon and Myotismon before him Piedmon has an arrogant air to him but at the same time likes to draw out the fear his enemies are facing when fighting them and like Puppetmon sought to gain a source of entertainment from fighting The DigiDestined but like Machinedramon and MetalSeadramon could be efficient when he'd tired of playtime When he fought WarGreymon there was no indicated that WarGreymon had done more than winded him Piedmon seems to be the most sadistic of The Dark Masters as instead of trying to kill them he used magic to turn the DigiDestined their partners and Digimon allies into keychains with the exception of TK and Kari who managed to outrun him Whether he meant to destroy the keychains later on or destroy them sometime later we may never know It was only when MangaAngemon reversed his spell on the DigiDestined and the kids were joined by more allies that Piedmon was finally overwhelmed and defeated Unlike the prior three who were killed Piedmon was sucked into the Gate of Destiny to suffer an unknown fate
