This view shows the concrete discharge chute extensions attached and extended as they would be for an on-site pour job The chute set can be swiveled from side to side to direct and spread the concrete mix as needed as it is discharged from the mixer drum The cement mixer drum speed and direction of rotation is controlled by levers on a control panel near the rear of the truck and inside the cab An on-board water tank hose is available to clean the chutes after pouring concrete and to add water to the concrete mix as needed to prevent it from 'setting up' (hardening) in the drum and to maintain the correct mud (cement) consistency and moisture content Note the folding access ladder extended to give the operator access to view and clean the mixer drum opening and the discharge chutes

complete cleaned new flue tops crowncuredsealed remember cement crowns will last for many years as long as there installed correctlyuse the right mix ratio needed with bonding agents etcremember anything done quickly with out proper steps taken will fail and fall apartnote: some will say you need a concrete cap with a drip edge here is my thought on thatfirst i will say i have restored many chimney's over the past 27 yearsand many of them had concrete crowns and the mortar joints were rotten and failedconcrete crowns due to their thickness are not as breathable as a casted in place cement type casting a cement crown takes skill and alot time forming and shaping into place like iceing a cakealso makes it look more appealing than pouring a sidewalk on your chimney as far as the drip edge they are needed on roof edges for water entry to the guttersbottom line chimneys will rot and fall apart if moisture is able to penetrate periodive seen what works and seen what wont keep it clean and keep it sealed
