Throat area was really dirty inside and hard to get the screws to come out I needed to buy some offset screwdrivers The feed dogs area had so much gunk that it squeaked Cleaning that area out got rid of the squeak

The black enamel trim is jet black but might not seem this way with the intense flash The wood is black walnut and is not as blonde as it appears I took one shot with a hand held flash light and you can see the difference The bed is close to mint I did place some touchup on the enamel foot panel due to light wear and use I did not use any abrasives or mask paint to the collectable and I restored it museum style The bed is very stable and close to mint The four cross boards are not photographed and are in great condition Setting up the bed can be done in 5 min Shipping and stowing the bed is very simple as you see it in the photos I have a very clean new high-end IKEA twin mattress and bed frame in storage and you can ask about it if this is of interest to you

This beautiful 1953 GMC ton series 100 rare 5 window cab truck is powered by a 1957 Chevy 235 ci motor wsolid valve lifters wless than 10K miles and has a 4 speed Saginaw transmission (Patricks floor shift conversion kit) The clutch pressure plate and throw out bearing are new the flywheel has been resurfaced the front and rear springs water pump fuel pump distributor and radiator are new The carburetor and starter have been rebuilt and the steering box is original and has been rebuilt n nThis truck is mostly all original except for the upgraded bed floor which has new oak wood and stainless steel bed runners with 7 top coats of varnish and 5 underside coats and the addition of the spare tire carrier n nThe following are original: grill heater (rebuilt and converted to 12v with a new 12v heater motor NOS core) and wiper motor (rebuilt) n nThe following are new: glass seals guide channels etc (except for the rear side windows) chrome front bumper (rear bumper has been rechromed) front bed panel tailgate bed sides seat upholstery headliner door panels floor gauges (speedometer is electronic and programmable) and radio n nA lot of new parts have been used on the front end ie brakes are new all wheel bearings have been replaced with modern tapered roller bearings there are new u-joints and front yoke new front and rear shocks and new P235 R15 Firestone whitewalls wapproximately 200 miles on them n nIt has been converted to 12V the generator replaced with an alternator it has been completely rewired and all circuits have fuses and individual grounds Turns signals have been added to lighting system n nAlthough not usually required on a classic retractable lap belts from a 70 Ford truck have been installed n nThe work has all been done Its a super turn key ready to go truck n nAll thats missing is YOU n nClick here to see the video http:wwwyoutubecomwatchvOsGAfVGtUA4 a new video will be coming soon with the truck running and driving
