has detail shots This drawing is kind of an inverse of Angel in Disguise though the subjects and color scheme are completely different The little girl sees her inner demon the twisted evil that resides within People often say that children are innocent and that societylife is what spoils them but I think we are all born with this inner darkness and life merely brings it out Our innocence is not replaced it is unwrapped revealing the heart of mankind flaws and all In addition to making the girl's reflection look like a messed up demon I also expressed this inner evil through how the demon treats the things on her side of the mirror It may be hard to see all the detail so I would highly recommend checking out the detail shots of this piece Also I accidentally forgot about the ledge in front of the demon while I was drawing her but I think having her up close and personal with the mirror adds a sense of eagerness to reach into the real world I can imagine her just itching to grab the little girl's throat Ironically I came up with the concept of this piece during church last weekend I would say that I did have some inspiration in making this The stitching was inspired by Megara in Jeffery Thomas' Twisted Princesses collection on deviantART Also some of Natalie Shau's works depict children or childlike subjects often with a pink and blue dominated color scheme well and some red too but that's not the pointI think this was more of a subconscious influence though Lastly I want to point out a couple more things First of all the black circle behind the demon's ribs can either be interpreted as a black heart or an empty hole where the heart used to be well technically you can interpret any of my drawings however you like I'm just expressing what I see in them Also the pencil in the demon's functioning eye reflected the light so those white lines are supposed to be dark silver I love pencil but sometimes
